Nov. 2015 We received an email from a vintage club in Wiltshire, UK. They are also restoring a very similar Bruston light plant. On their request we post a few images of our Lister Bruston with some detail. Assistance from the UK is offered in case we need any help during our restoration activities. Thanks for this, we may need it! |
Dec. 2015 We have little technical description of the Lister Bruston Lighting Plant in our museum. Available technical description on the internet will be our guide during the restoration process. Documents found sofar, see the below. |
Jan. 2016 In the beginning of the year we start tinkering the electrical part of the Lister Bruston Automatic Lighting & Power System. Documents found last month should be a good start, with focus on patent 29944 from the year 1909 (fully accepted 1910) |

Nov. 2016 | Our support from the UK, Graham Raymond from Wiltshire, who himself also is restoring a Lister Bruston generatorset sent us original content of how to setup the Lister Bruston generatorset. Document name: Erection & Running instructions for Lister Bruston. We are very grateful to Graham for the document, it will help us greatly to challenge our 'in house developed' approach. |

December 2018 | Part of the Lister Bruston System has been the Battery Loader (BL) when it arrived in our museum half a century ago. The BL is subject of this section. We have no documentation of the BL and no information has been found on the internet either. The BL principle of operation is that it is current driven. The current is mainly defined by the the main voltage (110V) and the resistance of the lightbulbs. The current is 3,1 Amps (see BL Logical Schema). In case an external battery needs a reload, the BL can do the job. A battery tester (acidometer) is required for monitoring the load state during the loadprocess. |
